Best Directory App – Flexible and Easy to Use
Brilliant Directories is the best directory app I have used ever.
I find it very easy to set up. Videos walk you through so you can set up your website just following the instructions. So there is no learning curve.
You can have a complete website setup withh all features in 15 minutes.
Of course you have to wait for domain propagation and integrations to third parties, but this is a very easy process.
Having my audience in spanish, I highly appreciate the language selection and similar features, not found in other directory app.
I highly recommend to buy this LTD as it is full with features, easy implementation and great support.
Tons of features and how-to videos!
Wow there are tons of features and settings to customize the layout of my site! I think I am most interested in the all-in-one theme after seeing the others. I built a directory before using WordPress…..but trust me it was a hassle with the plugins and I hope this Brilliant Directories solution will save me time and coding headaches. Platform looks promising and lots of value on offer here. So far the interface looks good and will be learning more with the many how to’s inside the dashboard. Unexpectedly POWERFUL!
After working on building a database for months, I was intrigued to find Brilliant Directories. I spent a lot of time creating layouts, integrations, and data inputs with even more to go. So far BD has been able to accomplish everything I’ve been working on, plus more! No coding, no extensive integrations, or even complex thought processes to display the info from users.
There is definitely a bit of a learning curve to understand the UI and how to get pages setup correctly, but after you get that, it’s pretty straightforward. There are a lot of useful templates to help get it setup properly for your desired layout. The add-ons seem pretty good, and are somewhat reasonable for $10/month regardless of user. But the included add-ons do the job, and work well to start off. After the first few days, a rep reached out to me to check on how things were going, and answer any questions I had, and they are very knowledgable and helpful. So quick and responsive customer service is definitely on their radar (Kudos to Dennis from the team)
Hopefully the Admin portal and web builder become a bit more user friendly, but been as it stands right now, they are powerful and get the job done well. Definitely a 5-Taco product!!!
Just Brilliant…
I’ve had a few trials of Brilliant Directories over the years, but as we are a non-profit, the ongoing subscription prices were a little prohibitive to us and the capital outline for the lifetime purchase was also something we had questioned a few times. As soon as we realised that we could get this brilliant solution from Brilliant Directories with the great discounts that AppSumo provide, we knew it was time to bite the bullet and upgrade from our current in house WordPress solution!
We have been wanting all the additional functionality and structure that Brilliant Directories have put years into perfecting. There’s a few things we’d like to see become standard rather than add-on – but they’ve got a business to run… although SSL is a standard requirement these days… so come on BD, time to step up on that one? Thankfully that’s included here.

I’d been mulling over an idea for a directory-based site for the past 6 months. A site that could complement some other passive business things including benefit the members of an animation studio course, called Start A Studio, which not so coincidentally is currently available on the App Sumo Community Marketplace 🙂
However, I’d as yet not taken any action on the directory idea and was contemplating getting a developer on board.
I then saw this offer on App Sumo, which lead me down a rabbit hole of directory software research. I’ve read every review here on App Sumo, as well as 3rd party blog posts about leading software to make directories. Brilliant Directories came up time and time again. It’s evidently a very mature and respected bit of software. Plus has a tonne of support and resources available to help you realise your directory dreams.
I signed up for the 7-day trial and spent a few hours getting to know the lay of the land. As others have mentioned the setup and design process takes a bit of learning especially if coming from a WordPress or Elementor background. That said, it’s very well catered for and I’m steadily working out what is achievable and how.
I also signed up to the Brilliant Directories Facebook group and can instantly see it’s a very positive, proactive and helpful group. Plus it’s great to be able to see what questions people have coming up and get a peek at other users new live sites to see what’s achievable.
After 24 hours of the trial, I’ve paid for the 5 tier option here. I’m not sure if I’ll ever need developer access, though for the price and potential future need, I’m happy to go for it. The offer to double the limits is of course a welcome extra incentive.
I’m really very excited by what I should be able to go live with after a few long days of tinkering.
Plus looking at the roadmap, it’s nice to see Zapier will be getting some support in the future. which I think could help integrate a community like Circle or Tribe.

5) My User Comments: I ask my staff to review software.
6) Deeper Research: Do a WhoIs search to see date company created – research Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn.
7) Competitors: Review similar programs.
8) When Push Comes To Shove: After all the above, determine the most important factor and base our decision on that.

Being Like Walt
Been in Real Estate for over 15 years and only recently started treating it like a business and less like just a salesperson.
Recently I read a book about how Walt Disney was able to accomplish so much is such a short period of time. One of the things that stood out to me was his knack for getting past clients to come back over and over. Also learned that he has had several different membership platforms that also helped him retain past clients.
